The IAOM Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQI) Training will be offered on May 9-11 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk‐based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation (referred to as the Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation) is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for human consumption in the United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual.” This course, developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA; successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual.”
Dr. Jeff Gwirtz, JAG Services, will be the lead instructor for the course, which offers a focus on food safety programs in a milling environment.

Travel
When you make your travel arrangements you will fly into Kansas City International Airport (MCI). Shuttle service is available from the Kansas City airport to the hotel, or you can rent a car.
FSPCA requires attendance for the entire course duration in order to receive the Certificate of Completion; The course will adjourn at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 11.
