Bühler-KSU Flowsheet Technology

November 4 - November 8

Course objectives: In-depth discussions of various flow sheets and approaches for successful milling. Understanding this influences of both the raw material and the applied milling system to optimize the production.

Course topics: Cleaning and conditioning of wheat (advanced flow sheet technology in the cleaning section, systems and designs, practical in the Hal Ross Mill); in-depth flow sheet technology of the milling process, new approaches in a mill flow sheet to improve extraction, operational reliability and finished product quality of a mill; flour mill operation (different approaches to milling wheat); novelties in the finished product handling section (new machines and measurement equipment for product safety).

Required skill level: Theoretical and practical milling background (milling school or university, prior advanced milling course from IAOM or Bühler Training Center), please forward copy of certificate, KSU milling science graduate with two years practical experience or five years of shift milling experience.

Who should attend: Production manager, head millers and experienced shift managers

Course minimum: 7 participants

Course Fees: IAOM member – $1,900, non-member – $2,100

Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications received without payment will be placed on a waiting list. Confirmation as a participant in each course will be sent upon receipt of payment. Please do not make travel plans that cannot be easily canceled until you receive notice of confirmation or cancellation, which you will receive no later than four weeks prior to the course start date.

Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is between 28-60 days of the program date, 25% of the tuition is non-refundable. 100% of the tuition may be transferred to another person.

If cancellation is less than 27 days of the program date, 100% of the tuition is non-refundable. 100% of the tuition may be transferred to another person. Severe extenuating circumstances will be considered individually.

Although we do not anticipate any changes, we do reserve the right to cancel an event at our discretion. In the event of course cancellation, 100 percent of the tuition will be eligible for refund or transferable to another course.
