IAOM Virtual Packaging Course

May 11 - May 26

The IAOM Virtual Packaging Course will be offered in May 2021 – sessions will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Central Daylight Time) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays over a three-week period starting May 11.  Students who aren’t able to attend the initial presentation will have access to each presentation and subsequent Q&A on demand. 

A very full schedule of topics associated with packaging for the flour and grain industry will be offered, including: small and large pack processes, measuring packaging efficiency, bag characteristics and sealing methods, finished product management, and system reliability. Instructors will offer the chance for Live Q&A sessions in our virtual classroom. 

IAOM brings in experts from the industry’s equipment manufacturers and suppliers to teach various parts of the course. Presentations include representatives from Ardent Mills, Fawema, Fischbein, General Mills, Hood Packaging, JAG Services, and Premier Tech. The course will be facilitated by Buhler Instructor of Milling Jason Watt from the Grain Science and Industry Department at Kansas State University.
